How much do tubs and buckets made from recycled tires cost? In Morocco, a pittance. In Exorbitant Design World (EDW), they cost $40 for a “Rubber Shopping Bag” and $60 for a “Large Rubber Tote.”
Visit the culprits, the French design firm of Tadé, and marvel. They don’t have prices - those were mentioned in the latest issue of Blueprint magazine.
If I see anyone using these, I’ll have to laugh - my husband says that only manual laborers and poor people use them in Morocco - god love the little snob.
Note : Now he says that they use them in the men’s hammam, too!

Turkish Baths? I thought they were dens of iniquity - at least they are in Brighton! What’s your husnband doing frequenting places like that?
There was a craze for using old car tyres to grow plats and potatoes in here, following a feature on Gardener’s World. I’ve never seen anything quite so naff!
